Members of ECA have elected a new Board member, Capt. Dirk Polloczek, and re-elected two Board members as well as ECA President Nico Voorbach. The elections were part of the Annual General Assembly held on 28-29 November in Brussels, hosted by EUROCONTROL.

Capt. Dirk Polloczek, who has been nominated by Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) was elected as Professional Affairs Director for a one-year term. As well as being a long-time VC Board Member responsible for International Affairs, he is an active pilot for Lufthansa.

“I am happy to join ECA because I believe in the idea of uniting forces of pilots in Europe”, said Capt. Polloczek. “Our industry as our continent are in the times of crisis and many of our colleagues have strong concerns about their future and the social status of our profession. But as the European idea, our industry will recover and grow again. As part of ECA, I will work for ensuring adequate terms and conditions, fair competition and the right to represent pilots throughout Europe!"
