After 25 years, Italian pilots are now uniting under one professional association called Associazione Nazionale Piloti Aviazione Commerciale (ANPAC).

The merger between the two well-respected associations, Italian Pilots Association and Unione Piloti was finalized on 28 November. The two former Presidents Capt. Giovanni Galiotto (IPA) and Capt. Alessandro Falsina (UP) are now respectively the new ANPAC President and Vice-President.

ANPAC was first created on 4 December 1952 and was temporarily replaced by IPA. To mark its 60th anniversary, the newly merged entity ANPAC will hold its 1st Executive Board meeting on 4 December 2012.
