At its last Conference, held in Brussels on 26 and 27 February 2008, ECA welcomed into full membership two new associations: the Lithuanian and the Maltese Airline Pilots' Associations - LCALA and ALPA-M.

After the Hungarian ALPA joined in June 2007, LCALA and ALPA-M, who were already members of IFALPA (the International Federation of Airline Pilots' Associations), decided to join ECA during its February Conference. LCALA, which was represented by Capt. Oskaras Pavlovas, thanked ECA for welcoming them into membership. ECA President, Capt. Martin Chalk, welcomed both associations and underlined the importance of every single member in ECA's work.

ECA has now extended its membership to 34 Member Associations (32 full members and 2 associate members), representing a total of 38,128 European pilots, i.e. more than 95% of European unionised pilots. Out of 27 European Union Member States, 25 are now part of the ECA family (Romania and Slovakia are the two remaining States).
