ECA responds to Commission's invitation to provide comments and concrete text proposals in view of a possible resumption of EU-US talks on an Open Aviation Area. As front-end users of any future OAA Agreement, European pilots are concerned that the deal, that is likely to be achievable within the set timeframe, would further tip the balance to the disadvantage of the EU. ECA also believes that the Agreement has to contain provisions which ensure that the OAA is not detrimental to the employees working in the transatlantic aviation area.
